About Me

Anastasia Naylor, M.Sc., R.SLP, S-LP(C)
Speech-Language Pathologist

Welcome! My name is Anastasia and I am a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). I am certified with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist (ACSLPA) and Speech-Language and Audiology of Canada (SAC). I graduated from Dalhousie University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.

The majority of my experience is with preschool and school-aged children. This includes students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 with mild to complex needs. I have knowledge and practice in the following areas: English Language Learners, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, motor speech disorders, articulation/phonological delays, expressive language delays, receptive language delays, fluency (stutter), and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Coming from a Métis background and having experience with Indigenous populations, I have a special interest in culturally and linguistically responsive tools and practices. I respect the diverse needs of each of my clients and acknowledge that we all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences. This guides my practice and allows me to adapt my services to suit your family’s individual needs.

I first learned about Speech-Language Pathology when I was in elementary school and my brother suffered from a severe concussion. One of his rehabilitative specialists was a Speech-Language Pathologist. There I learned about the importance of communication. Communication challenges can affect many everyday interactions like asking for help, following directions, and playing with friends. I understand the difference a caring, compassionate, and patient therapist can make.
